Driving around Wheeling
Wheeling has a high population density by the Census numbers, which for a work van means many stops and starts per mile. Short hops between stops are hard on brake pads, rotors and transmission fluid, and they keep engine oil from reaching full temperature, so a severe service maintenance schedule usually fits these vehicles better than the normal one.
- Cook County is in the Illinois emissions testing area. If a vehicle fails, we diagnose and repair the cause so it is ready for retest through the Illinois Air Team.
- When several vehicles need work, we can stagger drop offs so part of the fleet stays on the road.
In a straight line, Wheeling is about 22 miles south of our shop, in Cook County, Illinois. Its nearest neighbors on our list: Buffalo Grove (1.8 miles), Riverwoods (2.6 miles) and Lincolnshire (3.7 miles).
