Driving around Channel Lake
Channel Lake is a boating community: trailer traffic in summer, narrow lake roads, and vehicles parked near the water. Towing heats transmissions and brakes, and humid lake air plus road salt speeds up rust underneath.
- Pre-season tow vehicle checks help avoid trouble on the ramp.
- Route 173 east to Green Bay Road is about 16.3 miles.
- Underbody and brake line checks each spring are worth the time here.
