Driving around Wadsworth
Wadsworth driving means long two lane roads, farm and equestrian traffic, gravel driveways and fewer streetlights. Gravel and dirt are hard on tires, alignment and suspension, and deer near the Des Plaines River corridor are a real hazard at dawn and dusk. Many households keep pickups and SUVs for hauling, so brakes, wheel bearings and transmission fluid see more load than an average commuter car.
- If you drive gravel daily, ask for a tire and alignment check at each oil change.
- Pickups used for hauling or towing may need the severe service schedule. We can check your owner manual for you.
- Hit a deer? We can check what is mechanical. Body damage is a job for a collision shop.
In a straight line, Wadsworth is about 3 miles southwest of our shop, in Lake County, Illinois. Its nearest neighbors on our list: Zion (4.2 miles), Old Mill Creek (3.4 miles) and Gurnee (4.0 miles).
Work at the shop
The jobs Wadsworth drivers bring in lean toward wheel alignment, steering and suspension, brake repair and transmission service. Work vans and box trucks from local fleets come through the bays as well. Roe Automotive has repaired cars, light trucks and work vans in Zion since 1990.
