- From the lakefront or downtown, take Sheridan Road to 21st Street and head west.
- Cross Lewis Avenue and continue on 21st Street.

Driving around Zion
Zion driving is short trips: school runs, the Metra station, Sheridan Road errands, and the commute west to Green Bay Road or Route 173. Short trips in cold weather never fully warm an engine, which is hard on oil, batteries and exhaust systems. Winter adds salt, and the lake wind along Sheridan Road and near Illinois Beach State Park pushes slush and spray onto everything under the car.
- Zion streets on the east side carry the city's biblical names, such as Gideon, Galilee, Hebron and Deborah. If you are coming from that grid, 21st Street is the fastest way west to us.
- Route 173 is the main east west road on the north side of Zion and connects to I-94. It is our usual route for customers coming from Russell and the western townships.
- If you can not wait at the shop, plan a drop off. Most Zion addresses are a short ride from Horizon Court.
Zion is in Lake County, Illinois, and the shop is in Zion itself, on Horizon Court on the west side of town. The closest other towns on our list are Beach Park (2.2 miles), Winthrop Harbor (2.4 miles) and Wadsworth (4.2 miles).
Work at the shop
The jobs Zion drivers bring in lean toward oil change and maintenance, brake repair, check engine light and diagnostics and car battery replacement. Fleet vans, including Ram ProMaster vans, are a specialty of the shop. Roe Automotive has repaired cars, light trucks and work vans in Zion since 1990.
