Driving around Beach Park
Beach Park is mostly residential subdivisions spread between Sheridan Road, Lewis Avenue and Green Bay Road, so daily driving is a mix of neighborhood streets and the busier north south roads. Wadsworth Road and Yorkhouse Road carry cross traffic, and long stretches of Lewis Avenue and Green Bay Road see steady speed with sudden stops at signals. That pattern wears brakes and tires, and it is where alignment problems show up first as a pull at speed.
- Lewis Avenue is the most direct route from Beach Park, and it avoids Sheridan Road traffic.
- Families with two or three vehicles often bring them in one at a time on the same route. Ask us about scheduling them back to back.
- If you live in western Beach Park near Green Bay Road, Green Bay Road north to 21st Street works just as well.
In a straight line, Beach Park is about 2 miles south of our shop, in Lake County, Illinois. Its nearest neighbors on our list: Zion (2.2 miles), Waukegan (4.5 miles) and Wadsworth (2.6 miles).
